Wow...I was there...

Going... Going... Gone

A five-storey building in Surat, in the western Indian state of Gujarat, tilts dangerously.

The building, which was constructed in the early 1980s, had started leaning to one side on Wednesday night, and it was evacuated the next morning.

The next day, it toppled over like a house of cards (below). There were no casualties.

The local media quoted city officials as saying the 'structural engineering of the building was not up to the mark'.

They added that giant billboards erected on the roof might have created added pressure on the building's foundation. Winds of up to 20kmh had also been whipping against the boards for several days.

Floods last year might also have weakened the building's foundations, the officials said.

Yeah...we all love India.
